When the accounting world was dominated by the Big 8 (then the Big 6 and now the Final 4), Mark Eichstaedt worked for a multi-national firm. While he enjoyed the work he was doing, he believed that he could better serve his clients with direct interaction and a more streamlined corporate structure.

Over the course of 25 years, Eichstaedt has built a dynamic practice with five partners and a 25-person staff that serves individuals and families, entrepreneurs and companies, both public and private.

The partners of Eichstaedt & Devereaux — Mark Eichstaedt, Mark Devereaux, David Kuhner, Jill Lervold and Karisa Chin — have experience across a broad range of industries and with a number of high net worth individuals and families. Each joined Mark Eichstaedt in creating this firm in order to bring together their collective creative and entrepreneurial abilities.

“I joined the firm because I was given the freedom to make client service my top priority,” reports David Kuhner. “We’ve brought together a group of people that want to be together and like each other.”

Jill Lervold concurs. “I wanted to be in a firm where the partners embraced a similar culture and philosophy with respect to clients and the people that worked for them,” she says. “We’re very committed to our clients and our staff.”

That commitment is demonstrated by what Mark Devereaux calls “the defining thread amongst all of our partners”.  “We really like what we do. There’s a certain inquisitive spirit here and we have a willingness to look at new situations and learn. We’re not intimidated by challenges. In fact, we look at them as opportunities.”

“That trickles down to the staff,” he continues. “They know that we are going to challenge them. Anyone that comes to work here with a personal and professional curiosity will do well. We have a strong group of people that work well together.”
