Before Jill Lervold began her professional career, she spent a year traveling around the world. Experiencing a wide diversity of cultures taught her some valuable lessons, which she continues to rely on today. “While meeting people on a day-to-day basis I realized that there is no such thing as an ordinary person,” she says. “Everybody is unique and special.”

Over the course of her career, which began after she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from California State University East Bay, Jill has approached her clientele with that mindset, offering them services that are directly related to their needs.

Jill has spent her 24 years in public accounting providing technical tax consulting and compliance services to partnerships and corporations and the individual owners of those entities. She has extensive experience working with professional service companies, including law firms, consulting firms and engineering firms. She has worked with closely held family businesses, financially troubled companies and companies in bankruptcy with multi-state and multi-national operations to provide accurate and timely compliance services. Jill often works closely with her client's other advisors and attorneys to develop and implement strategic plans that minimize income taxes.

Prior to joining Eichstaedt & Devereaux, Jill worked at Arthur Andersen & Co. and then Frank, Rimmerman & Co., where she was the partner in charge of the San Francisco office.

Jill and her husband, composer Joel Evans, have two grown sons. She continues her interest in travel, having recently visited Rwanda for a gorilla trekking expedition, and plans to travel to Antarctica in the near future.
